The cervicofacial lift is an operation to reposition facial and cervical connective and muscular tissues that have sagged over time.
As the years pass, the skin becomes sagging, drooping, wrinkling and loses elasticity. But in this operation, the excess skin is removed , and a lifting effect is achieved.

What is a cervicofacial lift
The cervicofacial lift is not performed to lift the face but to reposition the facial and neck tissues.
It is a surgical technique that improves the appearance of the face and neck, taking a few years off naturally and making the skin look smoother and younger.
This surgery aims to tighten and remove excess fat in the skin, strengthening the facial muscles. This results in a rejuvenation of the cervicofacial features, eliminating flaccidity in the face and neck.
HOW THE SURGERY IS PERFORMED
This procedure is performed under general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with sedation. The duration varies depending on whether the facelift is performed on the face, neck or both. Generally, it is a quick surgery where the patient is discharged the same day and can go home to rest.
WILL I BE LEFT WITH ANY SCARS?
Scarring can depend on many factors, such as the structure of the patient’s face and the technique used.
Typically, in a cervicofacial facelift, the cuts are made at the temples, in the sideburn area behind the earlobe and towards the back so they are concealed and not visible to the naked eye. In the case of long hair, they are entirely hidden.
Once the scars complete their natural maturation process, they become more imperceptible, so they are certainly not an impediment to undergoing this surgery, where everything is beneficial.
Postoperative period
The postoperative period after the cervicofacial lift can be a little painful. For this reason, medication, such as painkillers, is often prescribed.
After surgery, the patient will have (if needed) a small drain to drain blood or inflammatory fluid for a few days and as a compressive bandage. This will help prevent bruising and reduce swelling.
Swelling, loss of sensation or bruising may occur during the postoperative period following this surgery. It is, therefore, important to follow the doctor’s instructions and wait for the weeks to pass, as everything will gradually return to normal.
Ideally, the head should be held in an upright posture to avoid tension in the wounds and to allow proper healing.
The necessary stitches are removed about two weeks after surgery. As for the results, the definitive outcome can be seen after 6 months, although they are already noticeable one month after the surgery.
How many years does the surgery last?
The duration of a cervicofacial lift depends on many factors. It mainly depends on the patient’s skincare and sun exposure, which should always be with SPF 50 and great care.
The patient can generally enjoy the facelift results for about 8 to 10 years. It can, therefore, be repeated after that time. But we insist that it depends on the individual patient, their case and the care they follow.
Natural results
After the cervicofacial facelift in Ibiza, you will see a subtle facial rejuvenation. The face and neck look younger. It does not affect facial mobility in any way, nor does it change the personality or detract from the expressiveness of the face. It is entirely natural. You look younger.
Some people combine it with other types of surgery, such as eyelid surgery. In any case, it always depends on the patient’s needs. Still, it can always be combined with other facial surgery for best results.
The best age to undergo a cervicofacial facelift
The recommended age is from 45 to 50 years of age. It depends very much on the patient, so if you have any doubts, you must consult a professional before undergoing this surgery.
